A closer look at the RAIBC Publicity Table
Russ G0OKD, Mandy 2E1GWO and Steve M5JSW were in attendance with the RAIBC publicity table at the recent Wythall Radio rally. The wet weather did not seem to deter the early visitors and the rally looked to be very well attended.
It was a great opportunity to catch up with members and spread the word about the work of RAIBC. There was particular interest in the “talking” Kenwood TS-480SAT radio on display. Its compact size and very comprehensive voice announcement system making it a very suitable loan radio for the future. You can even do 6m on it!
We were also pleased to receive some donations at the rally in the form of items to sell but also some cash donations. Always very welcome and a big thank you must go out for these.
Member recruitment continued and several amateurs went away with a complimentary RADIAL magazine and a membership pack. We look forward to welcoming them soon.
By lunchtime the weather was dry and bargains were being snapped up all around in both the busy school hall and sports hall. Even Russ managed to bag a bargain!
